What a beautiful fjord - Geirangerfjord - a World Heritage site.
Unfortunately, Alesundis does not come alive until later in the summer and its yet another cold and rainy day! So we opt for a bus tour to stay dry but to see the highlights of Alesund. We see another "open air" museum of old homes/huts/hovels. We drive to Aksla- a scenic viewpoint. Very beautiful views. We stop for brown cheese and buttery Norwegian pancakes.
Alesund had a huge fire in 1904 – they rebuilt this colorful city and lived on exporting cod fish, dried, salted cod - known as klipfish, which is one of their particular specialties– they now distribute cod all over the world.
Dinner and a show "Simply Divine" - duets of all time! Off to bed!
