Pastel colored warehouses appear as we dock in Bergen, Norway at 8:00AM. We are deep in yet another overwhelming Fjord. Bergen's colorful waterfront is a ramshackle line-up of incredible Hanseatic warehouses, built following the devastating fire of 1702 which devastated this city.
The major highlight for us was the tour of composer Edvard Grieg’s home and a piano recital by a beautiful and talented Asian girl named Kei Solvang. We learn a great deal about Grieg and his intellectual friends including playwright Henri Ibsen. There is much more to see here but alas we don’t have the time and so we sail off in a cloudy rainy mist to our next discovery.
Dinner and show tonight "Rock Rhapsody" which of course, I had to see for the second time!!
