We dock at Stavanger, Norway @ 8:00 AM. This is the energy capital of Norway as the city’s growth was fueled by discovery of oil in the North Sea. (Interesting story I won’t relate here but it pays to be persistent when drilling.) Unfortunately, it rained again during our walking tour but you cannot miss this beautiful city. I took a great picture of Bob in his yellow foul- weather gear in front of “the Irishman” bar. So many cute little flower laden tiny streets and alleys. We tour a very interesting sardine canning factory – what an interesting process in the old days.
