June 7, 2022 - AT SEA

June 7, 2022 – Ah yes - a “day at sea” - our favorite. Mary Beth and Bob join us for a lecture on cooking cod with potatoes in the Venetian lounge. At 3 PM in the Venetian lounge we all attend a lecture on the volcanic island of Heimaey. Dr. Paul Weiser does a great job explaining the archaeological history, and highlights the January 1973 volcanic explosion on the island. We are all looking forward to this trip tomorrow. We had dinner tonight with Roger and Laura and new friends of theirs. Then off to the Silver Note to listen to a wonderful jazz pianist and singer, who we befriended earlier on in our voyage.
