Everyone is excited about going to Heimaey island after hearing the lecture yesterday afternoon. Alas, it is not to be. We are especially disappointed for Mary Beth and Bob as we have already been on this island and had been to the volcano Museum. The captain canceled this island because the seas were too heavy and we are unable to anchor let alone stay in place with power. The captain announces this bad news and we begin our journey back to Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital. We did the one thing we could do and made it a spa day for all!
The four of us decided to have a quiet dinner together on this last night of our shared cruise.
