We leave the Bay of Biscayne - make a right-hand turn to the E. Southeast making our way down the river (estuary) Garrone and arrive in Bordeaux at 4:30 p.m. A local pilot lands by helicopter on our deck to guide us through. Two days here is not enough. Classic French architecture sits across the Promenade from our docked ship.
We are having perfect weather, so we dine outdoors at the Grille where Sherry and Anni grill prawns and Bob grills his steak on hot rocks. A lovely night with the stars above and the dramatic lights of the city across from our ship. We must be getting old as we all decide to skip the movie in the theater and retire early.
