May 12, 2022 - Bordeaux, France

We are off on a countryside bus tour on the way to Chateau Margaux and its winemaking region. We get pictures of this magnificent neoclassical building from 1810. This Chateau is recognized as a producer of premier crus, where its wine ranks with Graves's Haute Brion as one of Bordeaux's five finest reds. (We did not get a taste of these!!)

Back on the bus we proceed to Château Desmirail. Our knowledgeable young guide provided us with intensive information of their winemaking process. We toured their winery and then they hosted a beautiful wine/cheese tasting event - drinking their Rose, Red and White wines paired with sheep and cow cheeses, wonderful!

Back to the ship for lazy afternoon as we look forward to dinner with Roger and Laura our friends from Perth, Australia that we met on the Silver Whisper 2020 World cruise.
