Scotland's Outer Hebrides (Stornoway is the capital) can be rainy, remote and cold - yet their inhabitants rank as the happiest people in the UK!!
We arrived in port at 8 a.m., a beautiful harbor lined with boats and beautiful landscapes We decided to take an 8 a.m. RIB-Boat Safari in 50 degree weather, cloudy and sometimes very rainy. They gave us all the gear to keep us warm and prevent us from drowning! We saw seals and birds in this "lak" (Lake). Afterwards they gave us whiskey and cookies to warm us up!! It was cold but lots of fun!
We had lunch back at the ship and watched a beautiful rainbow. We met friends for cocktails and dinner and ended the night in the Venetian Room to watch "Downtown Abbey" and called it a night!
