May 3, 2022 - The Anticipation!

We booked this European cruise back in May 2021 along with the Pacific Grand Voyage for January/February 2023 as we are trying to complete the Covid-interruption of our World Cruise.

Tomorrow we fly from Fort Lauderdale through Newark and onto Lisbon, Portugal, where we will embark on Silversea's Silver Moon. This is one of their newer ships. We are all packed and we are very excited about our first class and business class tickets as we have lots of luggage! Usually Silversea ships 4 - 70 lb. bags to the ship from our home by Federal Express, but that luxury has been suspended due to logistical concerns related to the Ukraine war. Understandable! We can do this!

Sherry will meet us in Lisbon!

May 6, 2022 - EMBARKATION

This was relatively easy as we successfully passed the Covid tests. We can now begin to relax and enjoy. We settle into our room, unpack and have the Life Boat drill. We then prepare for dinner, having cocktails in Dolce Vita and move on to the Atlantide diningroom where Bob, Sherry and I have a gourmet dinner of caviar, champagne, seafood and wine!

We are all exhausted and decide to get some sleep. Looking forward to tomorrow!!
