We anchor in the harbor at St. Jean de Luz, France at 8:00 a.m. What a beautiful harbor! The town is famous for its seafaring past, and the port still maintains sizable fishing fleet with sardines and anchovies being the most important catches of the day.

We took a bus tour of the Basque Country, quaint villages and churches and then visit a farm (Ortilloptz, La Maison Basque de Sare established in 1660) where we had fresh (unsweetened) apple cider, amazing cheeses (goat and cow), meats and a butter-rich cherry cake. Back to the ship, we met up with Sherry, and had the afternoon by the pool in the sun. Dinner outside at La Terrazza (Italian), our favorite restaurant.

After dinner we had Showtime presenting "Rock Rhapsody", a musical tribute to Queen!!

Excellent way to end the evening.
